Recently Engaged!

So I have officially been engaged for 1 week now! Although, I feel as though I still processing this "status". My fiancee and I have been in the middle of moving to the Orange County area for a few weeks now. So, most of our attention has been directed at packing and taking car loads to the new house everytime we head down that way.

Needless to say, the move is priority right now and the flutter of wedding plans is on the back burner. I have been researching online a LOT and I have also started putting together the guest list. For the most part, I'm not too concerned with where/when and a lot of the details of the wedding. The one part that "concerns" me the most are the centerpieces and flowers! Simply because I have a vision in mind, and I have to find a way to explain or illustrate it to another florist and trust that they will bring it to life. Who knows, if I can find a way to simplify it enough, I might just do the centerpieces myself and then have someone make the bouquets and boutonnieres. Either way, this is probably going to be the only area of the wedding that I will really stress over! I guess that's the downfall of being a floral designer...

In the meantime, I am looking for inspiring photo's of other receptions so that I have visual elements to provide a florist as well as myself. I plan on making one of those vision boards that I think will help bring the overall look and feel of the wedding and ensure that we stay on track with all the smaller elements of the wedding!

So exciting to be on the other side of the wedding planning for once!
